write a book

Have you been thinking about writing a book for a long time now but haven’t started yet? If you’ve been waiting for the right moment to write a book then, you are just wasting your time. There will never be a perfect moment to do it. Time, money, motivation, and energy are all important factors in a writing career. If any of them is lacking then, you will have a hard time writing.

Are you thinking about not having enough talent to write a book? Lack of confidence in your ability may stop you from taking the first step towards the realization of your dream but, it’s no excuse. Even famous authors like Stephen King, J.R.R. Tolkien, and J.K. Rowling were not soaking in creativity before they began to write. No one feels confident that they have the amazing ability to write a book. Yet, they did. And look at what they have achieved so far.

Does fear of rejection stops you from writing? With so many writers out there, you might think that your writing won’t be good enough. If you keep comparing yourself to the great writers in the world then, you will not be able to do anything. You will never feel ready, no matter how many workshops or webinars you take.

So what are the things you truly need to start writing?

  • You must have the passion.

Even if you have the ideas, you will not start writing if you are not really passionate about it. If you have read an article or have heard or experienced a certain situation that you think would make a great book then, you are ready to write. When you feel unsatisfied with how a story ended in the book you have read or in the movie you have watched and thought you could do better then, you are ready to write a book. If you have a topic in mind that you want to share with others then, you are ready to write a book.

You just need to be passionate about your story to start writing. Writing about what you love and have passion for will make the writing process less stressful and more enjoyable for you. You may not be an expert on the topic but, your love and passion will shine naturally in your writing.

  • You must have a story.

We all have our stories but your story is uniquely yours. It is not similar to others. Your story maybe about your life: how you’ve overcome adversities, how you gain success, etc. Yet, it is something that could motivate the readers to action, give them knowledge or insight, or satisfy their cravings and longings. When you recognize the incredible power of your story then, it is time to write a book.

  • You must have a knowledge base or special skill.

If you think that you have a collection of knowledge or set of skills for a certain niche that will be useful to a specific audience then, write about them. Many writers were inspired to write a book in order to support and improve their business. If you are an entrepreneur, you have probably gained years of invaluable experience and knowledge that your business partners and clients believed to be a highly coveted asset that they can benefit from learning.

Sharing your wisdom to others through writing is an excellent way to create credibility. It will set you apart from your business rivals and will show you as an expert in your niche. If you’re ready to take your business into the next level then, write a book.

If writing a book has crossed your mind or you have a desire to do it even a fleeting one, then you’re ready to be a writer! Quit stalling and take action, write a book now!
